SATURDAY, OCTOBER 24th KENNYWOOD PARK – FRIGHT NIGHT              

Please meet at McMahon’s at 6:00 pm and we will be car pooling to the park.  This is for anyone 16 and older; it is too scary for younger children.  Discount Tickets are available at Giant Eagle for $24.99.  Dress Warm!!!

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 31st McMAHON’S HALLOWEEN STORE PARTY                        

11:30 – 3:00 pm  Please wear your Funniest, Scariest or Simply Most Outrageous Costume.  There will be lots of food and fun….Guaranteed to be a good time.

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 21st BRIDGEWATER LIGHT UP NIGHT & PARADE   5:00 – 8:00 pm 

Bridgewater Borough’s annual Light Up Night is annual celebration to kick off the Holiday Season.  Come see Bridge Street decorated in Christmas splendor as you enjoy the Parade.  And don’t forget to take the kids over to the Beaver Valley Federal Credit Union to have their picture taken with Kris Kringle himself.        More details to follow on time and where to meet.

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 27th BEAVER FALLS CHRISTMAS PARADE                       

7:00 – 10:00 pm  Assemble at McMahon’s and we will drive up to the parades starting point as a group.  Decorate your bikes and remember to wear a Santa Hat.  No Santa costumes, please.  The Parade ushers in the “Real Santa” at the end of the parade and we all know that there is only one Santa Claus!

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 5th McMAHON’S CHRISTMAS STORE PARTY           

Stop by around 11:30 am and maybe you will find a last minute Christmas present.  Hope to see you there for food, drinks and fun.

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 12 th- ANNUAL HOG CHRISTMAS PARTY               

Daugherty Fire Hall, located at 4198 Marion Hill Road, Daugherty Township.  THIS IS AN ADULT PARTY, starting at 6:00 pm with dinner being served at    7:00 pm. The party is open to all club members, family and friends.  Music will be provided by DJ – Cox.

This year, all 2009 Paid Members will be admitted FREE.  If you join the night of the party for 2010, you will be expected to pay for dinner.  The club will also be purchasing gift cards to be given away as door prizes.  Beer & mixers will be provided by the club, Bring Your Own Bottle, if you desire.                                

Please bring an appetizer or dessert to supplement the dinner menu.                                                                                            

There will also be a $10.00 gift exchange, if you want to participate, please bring a wrapped gift that has a value of around $10.00 and place under the Christmas tree.  Please label the gift “Male” or “Female”.

Your $10.00 club dues for 2010 can also be paid at the party or at our January 12th Meeting.

 

 

Minutes from October 13th, 2009

Meeting called to order by Bob Tate/Director at 7:40 pm at Jeffries Landing.

Pre-Ride – John & Debbie Brewer rode.  Jeff Meyer rode his brand new 2010 Road King and John Cox rode.               

New Members – None                 Visitors – None               Assistant Director - Dave Kunz unable to attend.

Secretary/Editor – Kim reported that the newsletter is fine.      WelfareVal McMahon unable to attend.

Membership - Joan Bundy unable to attend.  Bob Tate reported we have 95 paid members.

Activities – Jeff Meyer announced a trip to Kennywood on Saturday, Oct. 24th.and is planning a trip to the Pittsburgh Zoo in November.  Jeff said that there were several road trips in October, everyone had a lot of fun riding to North Country Brewery in Slippery Rock, PA Grand Canyon in Wellsboro, PA and John Brewer lead a trip to Foxburg that was really nice.

Ladies of Harley - Denise announced that there is a Caribbean Cruise being planned right now, this is a Harley sponsored event.  The trip is Oct. 31st – Nov. 7th, 2010.  If you are interested, there is more info available at McMahons, please see Robin.

Lead Road Captain - John Brewer reported that on a trip to Geneva-on-the-Lake in September there were 20 bikes that had stopped at a rest area and after taking a short break, some of the bikes pulled out into passing lane while others pulled in the slow lane and a semi-truck was coming down the road at 70 mph and he had no where to go.  It was a very dangerous situation, John just urged everyone to use extreme caution and think smart when riding in groups.

Webmaster – Kim reported that she has been working on the website and things are going great.

Sponsoring Dealer Bill reported that the trip to York, PA was really nice.  The weather was very nice on the way there and the ride home was alright; they ran into some showers and fog.  Bill said that a decision about keeping the Harley Davidson York Plant open will be made sometime in early 2010.                                                             

October 31st there will be a Halloween Party at McMahon’s from 11:30 -3:00 pm. Costumes are Encouraged!!!

December 5th will be McMahon’s Christmas Store Party.                                                                                                   Bill will have the Salvation Army Christmas tags available at the November meeting.

Bill is planning another BUS TRIP to MILWAUKEE to the HARLEY MUSEUM for March 2010.  The date will be announced real soon.  He mentioned that Denise and the Ladies of Harley may help by having a fundraiser that will raise funds that can be used towards the cost of the bus transportation.  Steve Hanna also mentioned that round trip airfare to Milwaukee is around $98.00.  There will be more discussion and details to follow.

Old Business – None

New Business Nominations for Election of Officers will be done at our November Meeting.                                   Voting will be at our Christmas Party.  Our elected Officers are Director, Assistant Director, Secretary/Editor and Treasurer.    You must be a National H.O.G. Member to hold these offices.

50/50 Winner – Steve Hanna received $50.00 and the club received $50.00, Steve graciously donated $40.00 back to the club.  Thank You!!!

Meeting adjourned by at 8:15 pm; there were 36 members in attendance.  Kathie Roedler and Debbie Brewer made the motion to adjourn the meeting.
