benefits the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation of the United States, Inc. The
ride begins at Home Depot in Cranberry Township.
Registration is at 8:00 am, ride starts at 10:00 am Sharp!
SUNDAY, AUGUST 15th
RIDE to CABELA’S IN TRIADELPHIA, WV
This is a nice comfortable 78 mile ride to one of the largest
Cabela’s Stores. Plans are to
shop and just wonder through the store, then head to Wheeling Downs and have
dinner at their delicious buffet and then maybe do some betting.
THURSDAY, AUGUST 26th
STATION SQUARE BIKE NIGHT & JUST DUCKY BOAT TOUR
Bruce Beighey would like to invite all members and friends to ride to
Pittsburgh and check out bike night at Station Square.
There is free parking at Hard Rock Café.
6:00 pm everyone would board the Just Ducky Tour.
The
tour
is an hour-long exploration of the city and its history, approximately 35
minutes on land and 25 minutes on the water. Cost is $19.00 per person
and needs to be paid before the reservation can be made.
The DUKW (popularly pronounced "duck") is a six-wheel-drive
amphibious truck that was designed by General Motors Corporation during
World War II for transporting goods and troops over land and water and for
use approaching and crossing beaches in amphibious attacks.

Minutes from July 13th, 2010 Meeting
Meeting called to order by Bob Tate/Director at 7:30 pm at Jeffries Landing.
New Members
– We are pleased to welcome three new members to our club:
Bob Thompson and his wife Diane, ride a 2010 Ultra, Dan Lokomski
rides a 2009 Street Glide and Mike Krechowski rides a 2008 Road King.

– None, it rained most of the day.

Attendance

- Joan reported that we have 104 paid members.
Secretary/Editor
– Everything is fine. Bruce Beighey
and Debbie Brewer approved the minutes from last month’s meeting.
Activities
– Jeff reported that the ride to the Pittsburgh Zoo on July 11th
was very nice. 21 people rode
and enjoyed a great day and then stopped for dinner at Sunny Jim’s located
at Camp Horne Road in Kilbuck Twp.
SUNDAY, AUGUST 15th
a ride is
planned to Cabela’s located at One Cabela Drive in Triadelphia, WV and then
a stop at the Wheeling Downs Race Track for dinner.
Jeff is hoping for a nice turn-out and great weather.

Jeff encouraged everyone, if you are planning to attend any bike events
during the summer to start checking into reserving hotel rooms now for
Thunder in the Valley, Geneva on the Lake, York, and the Grand Canyon of PA.
Bill McMahon has a booklet at the shop with hotel names, cabins and
phone numbers for Geneva.
Ladies of Harley
– Denise would
like to purchase some type of gift for all members to receive at the annual
HOG Christmas party. She has a
couple thoughts in mind and is looking for ideas right now.
Lead Road Captain
– John reported that 6 bikes rode to Johnstown and had a nice time.
Safety Officer
– Terry told the
group to be careful when riding down Route 65, be aware of sunken pot holes,
man hole covers and ground cinders.

Jeff said he took a lot of pictures at the HOG Picnic and at the Zoo.

Bill thanked everyone that helped make the annual HOG picnic a great time,
there is a lot of planning and time put into making the event a success
every year.

and that she mailed a card to his family.

Mel Bundy took a trip down memory lane and spoke about the club from
2000, telling us who the officers were back then, some of the activities the
club enjoyed and how much money was in the treasury.
50/50 Winner
– New Member
Mike Krechowski received $46.00 and the club received $46.00.
